This person is wonderful, amazing, and someone I do so admire. However, "I love you..." doesn't float from this person's lips too often. That's the difference between us...well...one of the millions of differences. I loved that little message however, and it got me to thinking...there really is no right or wrong way to show love. For some, it is in words, for some it is actions...for some it's just being there..however, it's when we get our wires crossed that confusion takes place.
For this person saying "I love you.." is not how they express love...it just isn't..but, for me it is. My Mother-in-law...for instance, her and I are very similar...we end each conversation with "I love you..." (well, pretty close to it) even when it's a texting conversation. I need that...I need people to know I love them, and I need to be told. It's one of those weird quarks about me.
So, my thought for today is this...let's come out of our shell and in a DIFFERENT, and more creative way show love. For me it might be with actions instead of words today. I am a wordy kinda girl, I can articulate with words my exact emotion (typically), maybe today I need to try showing love in a way that I am not as great at. Maybe today I need to act out my love by doing kind things for others...who knows what I will come up with....Get creative today in showing love!
Everyone has a different "love language.." I need to learn to speak more of them...
