"A life without regrets, is no life at all..." exclaimed a character on my favorite show. (You know, the one and only show I get to watch weekly!) I paused for a moment, and realized that I love that! Some regrets bring us to our faith, some bring us closer to a relationship, some bring us to understanding, some bring us to our knees, and some teach us a lesson we will never forget.
While I say this, I also feel I should say I do not think we should live recklessly...making poor decision after poor decision...but, I think we should learn to accept that we will mess up, and looking back we will all have things we wish we had done or handled a bit differently. However, if we use these experiences wisely we can learn from them and have an even better existence. The real key there, is application...we should apply what we have learned and set it into motion in our lives. Again, however, we should keep in mind that being destructive is not ok, yet, learning from the things of the past is acceptable.
A life without regrets, is no life at all...regrets teach us about being better, about making wiser choices, and perhaps even learning to love better...regret can also teach us who to love, and even HOW to love them.
