I do not mind to tell you that after everyone was out the door, and my (rather sick) Miss. Natalie went down for her morning nap I was happy. This house has been fighting allergies and bronchitis (Aiden is finally over it, and now Miss. Nat has her turn at it). I'll be making my second trip to our pediatricians office today...I've certainly found having two children that I am very close to our pediatrician.
The month of April has kept us all crazy busy....busy is great...crazy busy...well....
So, I sit here with my amazing cup of coffee, Today Show in the background and it is right here that I melt right back into ME. I told Rob that I have just not felt much like myself lately and finally...after some mega prayer, talking to a few people, and some much needed rest I feel myself falling back into the old mold that is "me."
Looking ahead the month of May has so much to offer our family, and I am so very excited. I can remember being younger and always so pumped for May....it is my birthday month!!! However, motherhood and marriage have added extra doses of greatness to the month of May. This May we will celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary, MOTHERS DAY, and my birthday (although I am not getting any older at this point...we can still celebrate!) We also have a trip to Jeff City planned, AND A TRIP TO THE BEACH!!!!!! May will also wrap up school for Mr. Aiden until the fall :-)
So, this morning I have found myself counting my blessings, and getting so excited for the month of May.
And, for those of you who care about my plants more than I do :-) NOTHING grew that I planted except lettuce. Lessons learned...start earlier...plant outside, not in containers (although the instructions recommended container planting)...and realize that sometimes things are better a second time around. I wont give up next year on the bulb thing...I'll take my lessons learned, my shovel, and re-try. For now I plan on getting some potted plants to dress up our little house a bit.
One last thing...sorry this entry is not very well thought out today....BUT, this is a BIG DEAL. My little Aiden is reading. I never knew the amount of joy I would feel to hear my son sound out words, put them together, and READ THEM! The goosebumps I get to hear my little guy read!! I foresee much reading in our summer. AND, thanks to Grandma Jeanelle, Aiden has an awesome bookmark to keep his place in longer books we might start. (he loves his bookmark Grandma!!! He thought that was so cool, and the fact that his name was on it...well, you couldn't have done any better!!!! THANK YOU)
