I found myself in my shower today scrubbing with harsh cleaners, and scouring pads. A single spot in my shower that just shouldn't be there is cause for major scrubbing in my mind! Gloves go on, cleaners come out, and goodness the elbow grease it takes to REALLY scrub a shower...but, it feels so amazing when it is all clean. I love it!!!
As I was scrubbing the shower for what seemed like ever I was thinking about the "mildew" and "limescale" in our lives...you know, those things that take up space in our life, the messy, unneeded things that only cause trouble. Humm...for some it might be certain people they need to clean out...and for some it might be a habit they need to kick...either way I think it is much like scrubbing our showers...it takes hard work, it takes TIME, but, in the end you come out much better. You feel free, you feel clear.
Sometimes we need to take out those harsh cleaners...put the gloves on...and start cleaning things out...and sometimes we need to do it to make ourselves a better person.
Examples of "mildew" & "limescale"
-alcoholism
-gossip
-certain foods, or over eating
-a poor attitude
-unsupportive, or negative people
-too much technology. Too much "plugged in."
-smoking
-materialism
