I have always hoped I might be an inspiration for someone. I might be a positive influence in someone's life...because, my list of women that I admire and think the world of is so big!!!! I have so many qualities from so many women that I just admire and strive for, that my list really is endless.
So, today I add another woman on my list. Dr. Nancy Snyderman, this woman is brilliant. She is a physician, journalist, author, mother, and wife. This woman I ADMIRE!
Dr. Snyderman is a brilliant physician, as well as a wonderful broadcast journalist, and well..she does work for NBC (yes, I am a BIG Today Show fan). Aside from all of her professional accolades, Dr. Snyderman has a generous heart, she is caring and kind. Her acts of humanitarianism are endless and I so admire that, and strive for that.
I am not writing this to serve as a book report on Nancy Snyderman...I guess I am writing this to remind us that we should never stop learning...never stop striving for more for ourselves intellectually...we should keep pushing ourselves in life. Do you think Dr. Snyderman was always comfortable in her journey to where she is now? Do you think she is sitting on a cushion while visiting orphanages in some of the poorest countries. I very highly doubt her comfort level is high....we get the farthest when we are making these uncomfortable transitions. Much like a diet....which, according to the Farmers Almanac I should begin tomorrow...when you are on a diet are you comfortable? Absolutely not. You typically feel deprived for a short time, but, remember the bigger picture..it is getting you where you need to be health wise.
Discomfort can be a comforting thing...it is getting you somewhere you presently are not...
