I would like to spill a topic that has been WAITING to make an appearance....waiting. Think about times you've waited in life. It is hard, isn't it? Some were born with patience and a heart that could wait forever, others of us...we'll I'm not sure what happened, but, God just decided to not place that in us. I have had to learn patience. I have had to learn that some of the best things in life take time, they take WAITING.
My concern today is that some might allow whatever it is they are waiting on to dictate their lives. Some might allow the waiting game to take over, and they find themselves on the brink of their chair, anxiety through the roof and always in anticipation of whatever it is that has them waiting. Why are we always waiting for something? Aren't you waiting on something right now...a result, a cure, a check, an answer, a question....we are always waiting.
Stop. Easier said than done...and I do not mean to stop your life and the game that is life, because, more stops than not in this game are "rest stops," stops that have us waiting for our next move. I guess my qualm with the whole "waiting thing" is that we put so much on hold when we wait. We allow our next move to be dictated by whatever it is that we anticipate. I feel that if you know where your heart is, if you know what your next move SHOULD be, and you rest your faith in it, the anxiety should depart from your heart and you should continue to place one foot ahead of the other and keep living your life out of faith.
Waiting in this world is a necessary evil, but, we do not need to place life, feelings, and truths on hold while we wait.It is healthy to continue on, I believe that. Don't let whatever you are waiting for dictate your life.
Some people are waiting for a marriage to begin, some are waiting for it to end. Some are waiting on results, some are waiting on a cure. Some are waiting to be loved, some are waiting on love.
