Good morning! I sit writing to you this morning post scarfing down an amazing brownie...the LAST brownie in the house :-) My Mother-in-law made them for the kids party and yep, I ate it! But, after that brownie that I never should have eaten my diet now begins. :-) I still have cake, and cupcakes sitting on my kitchen counter...ugh....birthday party time certainly does bring out my sweet tooth, but, it's high time to draw the line on the sweets. No more sweets for this girl for a very long time. :-)
So, I have found that when people ask me what I do all day and I respond with "I stay at home and care for my kids..." they sometimes just look at me, through me....or pose a further question of "what do you do all day..." Ha! My quick response often begs to be "hum...what DON'T I do all day?" From the time my little kids wake up I am on the go-picking out clothes, ironing clothes, doing laundry, dishes, vacuuming, cleaning, helping with homework, picking someone up....goodness...the list is endless, but, I wouldn't trade this kind of busy for anything in the world. I am so blessed to be able to care for these little people daily and love them. Miss Natalie has the worst case of diaper rash right now, and this morning I've been busy giving her little bottom cool rinses, and letting her crawl and nap bare-bottomed....I'm blessed to be able to give her that. A daycare would never allow for that, and I am very content knowing I can care for her in ways no one else ever could. That is such a gift. I get to take my little...ok..my no-so-little REALLY BIG BOY to school in the morning...I get to ensure his little tummy is full before school, he's dressed nicely, and is seen into those front doors where he will learn....and, when it is time I will be there right at 3pm to pick him up with a drink and snack in hand :-) Those are gifts that I will treasure for my lifetime.
So...go ahead...ask me what I do all day :-)
Have a wonderful day!!!!
