Rob, Miss Natalie, and myself have been in the car for 5+ hours today :-) Please, sense my sarcasm at the happy little emoticon. I am not a big fan of long car rides, but, this one turned out pretty ok. We traveled to buy an SUV. You can imagine how much Natalie enjoyed that, and all-in-all, she did fantastic. It was me that was ready to go once we got there.
My sweet husband (again, sense the sarcasm here) has adopted the name of "Responsible Rob," a name given by me very early on in our courting. He is always thinking of the logical, reasonable, and most responsible move. I had found a vehicle just like the one we actually purchased, different color and with a different type of engine-my responsible husband quickly vetoed my opinion on the one I liked best due to inefficient fuel economy (I guess fuel economy is just something I am not responsible enough on.)
Going along with his very "responsible" nature my Rob is a BIG fan of Dave Ramsey, and I'll give it to him. He is a very intelligent man, and has developed a wonderful name for himself in the realm of "financial peace." In fact, once Rob and I were engaged he signed us up for 'Financial Peace University,' a class Rob finished, and I just caught bits and pieces of what he taught me after class. (my work, and patient load just wouldn't allow me to attend the class). So, before venturing to make the purchase you can bet my responsible husband was looking up old class documents from 'Financial Peace,' web video's and while we were there I think I heard "Dave Ramsey says..." about a billion times!
I make light of the situation, and I give my husband a very hard time, but, I am very grateful he is minded the way he is. He is a wonderful leader for our family. Needless to say...test driving, entertaining my daughter, talking numbers, negotiating, haggling, and signing wore me out! So, I am ending my day with a bit of Moscato in my glass and a nice hot shower. This girl is glad to be home, and so happy the car thing is done and over with. It was a great experience with my husband, and my little Miss Natalie however.
*A few updates*
-Natalie is really trying to start crawling
-Aiden has gotten 100% on all memory verses this year, and is READING
-Rob has worn some shirts I purchased for him! This is a big deal! Rob is so stuck in his ways, and fashion is just not his cup o' tea. (Jeanelle, brace yourself...he is wearing bright colors, fun shirts, and only cut off tee-shirts when playing basketball)
