Well...with the hype on enterovirus you can imagine my Mommy heart and nerves were all over the map last night when Mr. Aiden hit a 100.1 temp. I realize this is a slight fever only, but, when the little man wanted to go to bed at 6:30 pm last night the red flags were certainly raised. He slept all through the night, waking a few times, and here we find ourselves with a sick day today. I should go ahead and tell you, Aiden does not have enterovirus, he has a slight bug...and just needs rest, fluids, and a day at home.
Miss Natalie is so happy to have her brother home today, you will frequently find her next to the sofa rubbing his head, saying "bubba...bubba", and begging for his attention.
So, today, this Mommy will cater to the needs of both children all day long, and love on them even more. I will fluff pillows, make sure blankets are warm, check temperatures, bring lots of drinks to the sofa, and rub little heads all day long.
Thank you God for the blessing it is to love my children when they are sick. I'm so lucky to be the one to care for them when they are not feeling so hot. Oh, and, God, bring Mr. Aiden back to health...QUICKLY! :-)
