Go to YouTube today and search for the song Paradise by Coldplay. #1. Coldplay is absolutely amazing, #2. the song is brilliant and has an entirely new meaning to me after the recent sermon's I have heard.
Spoken yesterday in the car, on the way home, from my son's mouth "I heard Heaven is perfect I'm excited about that."
WOW! Lump in the throat, wanted to scream "NOOOOO not time for you to go to Heaven!!", and the overwhelming thought of "sooooo proud"....goodness, that one little phrase from his mouth caused a flood of emotions to wash over me. And, as I sat in my front seat...driving my babes home I thought of the right thing to say... "Aiden, I'm so proud of you. Heaven is perfect, Heaven is absolutely perfect and we should be excited about that promise." Humph...right response? Yes, I think so. "Aiden, it's not time for us to go yet, however...and, you know Jesus has promised us He will return." Aiden cheerfully said, "yep, that's great and we will go up into the clouds". His happy heart is so intelligent and I am so proud of that. SOMETHING we are teaching is sinking in!!! :-)
So let me tell you what I'VE recently learned myself. Heaven, and Paradise are NOT the same. My Mom, she is NOT in Heaven. NO ONE IS IN HEAVEN. I bet I have your attention now, huh? Everyone we have lost that will go to Heaven is now in Paradise. Remember this phrase... "Truly, I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise," Luke 23:43. Pastor Ryan has been preaching on Heaven these past few weeks, and these are sermons my heart, mind, and soul have so very much needed to hear. I can honestly tell you I had no idea that these two "dimensions" were different, Heaven and Paradise. I've learned that Paradise is where those we have lost are presently, and it is not until the return of Christ that Heaven will even be formed and it is not until then that we will all encounter what Heaven truly is. So, what is Paradise? Pastor Ryan gave several ideas of what it could be, because the Bible does not spell out exactly what it is, other than it is NOT Heaven. In my head, right now, Paradise is another dimension where those we have lost are presently, it is where their spirit is. Their bodies have not yet been made new even, and it is not until we ascend into the Heavens that are bodies are made new.
Of course, you are welcome to disagree...however, everything I am relaying from the sermon does come and is pulled directly from the Bible.
Have a blessed day! And, remember to keep learning...just like Aiden, when he learns something new...about anything, it is exciting. There is no reason an adult mind should not experience that same element of excitement for new knowledge.
